Artist Statement
We make music because we LOVE to do it!!
There is a joy and a connection to listening, creating, and sharing music with our community. Our program focuses on vocal percussion vocal sound production.
We also incorporate call-and-response, manipulative play and lead musical chants and songs that practice use of gross and fine motor skills as we play. Max and Jamaal are still very much students as much as we are master teachers. Our aim is to create music and movement directives that aid in developing and cultivating phonemic awareness, basic growth, development and musical awareness and appreciation. We will continue to share our work with families in communal friendly environments.
